BCOR is the real deal. It's an hour of running and busting your butt. I like to think I am in pretty good shape but this shattered that thought. I bought a Group-On and went once. ONCE! I went on Monday morning and couldn't walk until Friday morning. Basically, I was chasing the BCOR group around Washington Park for an hour at 6am. Uggh! My current fitness level consists of Pilates once or twice a week which doesn't seem like much but it hasn't been that long since I was doing two days of Jazzercise on top of that. I probably won't finish out my month at BCOR, at least this time...
The trainer was very nice and let me work at my own pace because it was my first day. Clearly I misjudged on that one. My fellow bootcampers had all been to group before. They were very nice and supportive even though I might have held them up a little here and there. The group ranged in age from early twenties to late fifties. The fitness level also had a pretty good range, so it seems all fitness levels are welcome.
If I ever go back, it will definitely be after I build up some endurance and strength on my own. If you haven't worked out in a while and you are considering BCOR, I would spend about a month (depending on your fitness level) training on your own. Buy workout gloves because you use the ground, picnic tables and metal railings. I have no doubt in my mind that one month in BCOR would produce amazing results, that is if you attend!
BCOR meets at gyms and parks all over town, check the website for current pricing and a location near you.
